There will be a new Ridgeview Winsted Clinic in Winsted by the first quarter of 2009.

According to Bob Stevens President and CEO of Ridgeview Medical Center, the project is still in the planning stages, but he sees construction for the clinic beginning this summer. He is also planning to have a smooth transfer to the new building with no interruption in health care.

Ridgeview is in the middle of negotiating on property owned by St. Mary’s Care Center. The building, which once housed the Family Care Associates Clinic, would be torn down and a new 8,000 square foot modern, up-to-date facility would be built at the same location.

According to Stevens, the location is perfect being near to St. Mary’s Care Center and St. Mary’s Assisted Living, and close to its present location making moving into the new building much easier on everybody.

Stevens said, “Negotiations with St. Mary’s (property owners) are going well.”

In addition to the Winsted clinic, Ridgeview also operates primary and specialty care for the whole family at the Chanhassen, Delano, Excelsior, Howard Lake, and Spring Park (Ridgeview Westonka Clinic).

It has two specialty care clinics – Minnesota Otolaryngology, a Ridgeview Clinic; and Western Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Consultants, a Ridgeview Clinic. Ridgeview is associated with Lakeview Clinic, Catalyst Medical Clinic, Western OB/GYN Women’s Health Center, Wayzata Children’s and Eagle Medical Clinic.
